ABSTRACT:
Affirmations in new thought and new age terminology refer primarily to the practice of positive thinking and self-empowerment- fostering a belief that “A Positive Mental Attitude Supported By Affirmations Will Achieve Success In Anything. What are affirmations and do they work? Affirmations are positive statements that can help you to challenge and overcome self- sabotaging and negative thoughts. When you repeat them often, and believe in them, you can start make positive changes. Positive affirmations, self- care affirmations, affirmations for personal gratification, daily affirmation, as to start your day, morning affirmation.

INTRODUCTION:
Powerful positive affirmations to say are trending which spiritual gurus of India like Sadguru of Isha foundation now –a-days and B.K Shivani of Brahmkumaris are emphasizing. Affirmations are found out and and curious topic of research by many. That these statements when spoken repeatedly day and night work real magic in life from changing our life situation from negative to positive.
‘I am worthy, I love myself. I am Healthy. Affirmations are small and positive statements used in all languages all around the world. They are used by students, teachers, Health professionals, spiritual masters, world leaders, business people and politicians, employer and employees.
Barack Obama’s one affirmation ‘Yes We Can ‘won millions of hearts and he became American president. Dr APJ Abdul kalam said every man should say to himself every morning
That –I am the Best, I can do it, God is always with me, I am a winner, today is my day. These are nothing but positive affirmations.
Swami Vivekananda and many other great leaders and social reformers had their ideal affirmations used then and now for motivating youngsters. They are generally used while the daily haphazard routine course activities are minimum. Especially early morning and before sleep in the night. Generally, affirmations start with ‘I AM ------, and you can fill whatever you want to become the frequency of your desired manifestation. Many people bet a 21-day affirmation schedule in order to change circumstances from unfavourable to favourable. It is believed that your outer circumstances are the manifestations of inner ones.
The idea behind speaking an affirmation is programming our minds for good results. Researches are on their way to prove that affirmations can bring good health and longevity. Many foreign researches have previously proved that prayers are helpful in healing an ailment. Similarly sentences when spoken with faith is going to provide an additional benefit. If we continuously say negative words that life is difficult, I don’t deserve good, I am not worthy, the subconscious mind start believing it and so is the attitude of the person and his/her life.
Affirmations are a set of positive statements which are spoken over a period of time generally 21 days in order to reset the subconscious mind to make it believe a new idea. This process allow an attitudinal change in a person from present state of mind to a more positive one and hence the result. They can be used while eating, while cooking, can be written and pasted on the walls, set as a reminder on phone, on water bottles etc. This is miraculous, cost effective and has no side effect treatment which can be tried and tested for a better life.
Wonder, if the world acknowledges the fact, contribution from mankind to the universe would be far more quantitative and qualitative.

It is a fact to understand, believe and test whether these positive frequency, words or affirmations can actually bring good health to an ill, diseased or an ailing person. If such an idea is implemented in health care centres along with the routine conventional treatment. What would be the result?
One can imagine an audio of optimistic positive healthful statements being played alongside in the ward in a very planned scheduled way and the outcome can be compared by doing research. OR In another setting patients or ailing person is advised to say positive health affirmation like ‘I am Healthy’’ I am Recovering Fast’ like that before bedtime, mealtime or before taking routine medication and results can be compared likewise.
In a nutshell, affirmations have already proved their worth in other fields of life. They need to be employed in health as a perfect partner to healthcare team.
